· The size of the terminal will be increased from 20,000 m² to 47,000m² through use of an extension in both east and west directions.
· The car parking area will also be increased from current 14,000 m2 to 21,000 m2. There is also a new multi-level car parking being constructed.
· The number of check-in counters will be increased to 67 from current 48. Also, in future there will be 12 security channels instead of current 7.
· It is predicted that around 20 % of the energy requirements will be extracted from inbuilt renewable sources. These will include biomass heat generation and wind power.
