St. Louis, Missouri is best known for their famous arch right near the downtown area but has a deep rooted history and many great things to see in addition to Gateway Arch according to St. Louis painting contractors. In the early 1900′s it was the 4th most populated city in the United States and hosted the big events of the 1904 World’s Fair and the 1094 Olympic games which was the first time they were ever hosted in the Western hemisphere. The city itself has decreased in size being only the 52nd most populated city today. Because of the big boom and those large crowd attracting events, there are many fabulous things to see and do in this city for people visiting. Some of the things recommended by St. Louis painters that live there are the Gateway Arch, the St. Louis Art Museum, Forest Park, The Hill and the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame museum to name a few.

The most popular attraction is the Gateway Arch which can be seen from miles away and is part of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial and was designed in 1947 but completed in 1965. It stands 630 feet tall and is 630 wide at the base making it the largest memorial in the United States. You can take a trip up to the top inside the arch for amazing views for those that do not have a fear of heights. Below the arch is a museum following the great migration of people that settled west of the Mississippi River. That is why this memorial is also refereed to as the Gateway to the West.

Another great attraction to visit in this city is the St. Louis Art museum which was built in 1904 for the World’s Fair event. This museum is in a magnificent building and holds a wide variety of art from modern pieces to ancient relics. Many world famous artists are also featured in this grand museum like Rembrandt, Van Gogh and Picasso. It is located in Forest Park which is also a great place to spend some time in. It is larger than New York City’s Central Park and it has the St. Louis Zoo and the Muny which is the largest and oldest outdoor musical theatre in the country.

If you want to see a wonderful part of the city that is kind of a Little Italy of sorts, head to what is known as The Hill. Famous baseball athletes Yogi Berra and Joe Garagiola both grew up on the Hill where you can find the city’s best Italian restaurants. Plaques are on the homes of these baseball greats as well as several other famous residents of this small neighborhood.

Speaking of baseball, a great place to visit is the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame Museum. It is located near Busch Stadium in downtown. This place will be moving in the next year to a new location of Ballpark Village which will be better for larger amounts of visitors.

In recent times, Ghana has improved in different sectors, which increased its credibility around the world. Launching Ghana International Airline was the greatest step for the Ghanaians to gain world recognition. It was a combine effort by Ghana Government and confidential international investors in 2004 and was declared a national airline in 2005. It filed from Accra Kotoka International airport to Landon Gatwick airport for the first time. In addition to this, seasonal flights were started to Johannesburg in 2006 and then to Germany’s Dusseldorf international Airport in 2008. GIA employs not more than 200 hundred employees but their devotion and competencies are more enough to improve quality.

GIA facilitates its customers by providing flights from Accra to London so if you are in London then you can easily get cheap flights to Accra with GIA. For United States travelers it has united with Continental Airlines. From Accra to any city of United States, you will be provided with Continental Airlines through London Gatwick Airport. However, GIA offers you low budgeted flights but still you can expect high level of services to have a comfortable voyage.

Ghanaian Government is doing a lot of effort to increase the level of tourism in the country that is why recently (3 to 4 months ago) a meeting was held between the officials of Ghana Tourist Board and Ghana International airlines. Both companies combined for promoting tourism in Ghana. No country can promote its tourism effectively without the involvement of country’s national carrier. Without offering cheap flights with high quality services, a country cannot attract tourists. A tourist must see the extreme level of hospitality right from the air so, in this concern, GIA holds an important seat. The Ghana Tourists Board was interested to see good response from the GIA side and the most intriguing thing is, GIA has proved itself in any task related to the project.

Madam Gifty Annan Myers, the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana International Airline, stated that the management of GIA is quite happy to hear that. We are highly motivated to play our role in an effective manner. The airline is devoted to its work to keep the flag of Ghana high up in the sky, she added more. There were several issues regarding stakeholders but the officials of GIA presented this idea to all stakeholders, in a beneficial way, to get the interest of all stakeholders.

However, Ghanaian Government faced many downfalls in recent years but the Ghana International Airline kept its nerves cool and did not raise airfares. Its customers showed their full confidence in the services of GIA that’s why the airline has succeeded to get a unique position among other airlines. Travelers should not expect any sort of miss happening like delaying or rescheduling because of GIA’s total quality management. The management of GIA listens to its customers in a friendly environment and tries to solve their problem with the best possible solutions.
